In this version of the airport exercise, we are going to look at more than just 4 quadrants of your life. Let’s dive into what it means for you to live a “Level 10″ life.
On your worksheets, you will see 9 life areas:
- Work
- Finances
- Fun and Social Life
- Love and relationships
- Family
- Spirituality
- Personal Development and Learning
- Health and Fitness
- Home and Lifestyle
I want you to rate each life area on a scale of 1 – 10.
On this scale, a “1” represents this area being not at all in line with your vision for your life. A “10” indicates that this area is a perfect representation of how you want to live your life.
If you are like most people, you have a few areas that you score exceptionally well in and a few areas that you rate rather low in — that’s perfectly normal and that’s exactly what we want.
Now, I want you to look at each area and ask yourself:
- What does a Level 10 in this area look like?
- What would need to happen in order for this to be a Level 10 for me?
For example, in the area of Finances, a Level 10 life looks like:
- I own my own home
- I am completely debt-free
- I have 100K in savings
For Health and Fitness, a Level 10 might be:
- I am in the best shape of my life
- I can run a 5K without stopping
- I go on weekly hikes with my husband
- I am a size 6
You get the idea. Go through each of these 9 life areas and write what a Level 10 would look like for you.
By the end of both of these exercises, you should have a list of 30 – 50 goals. Don’t worry! We aren’t going to start working on all of them at once.
In the next module, you’ll learn how to choose the goals to work on first. Then you’ll break them down into short-term, achievable goals — so you can make them real. Your dream will become a plan.
